i am not one to blast people with verses in order for them to get the picture, but this is once again a post for my own benefit. why? because this reminder will bring truth and growth through an uneasy time. thank you stephanie.
1When the LORD restored the fortunes of Zion,
we were like those who dream.
2Then our mouth was filled with laughter,
and our tongue with shouts of joy;
then they said among the nations,
"The LORD has done great things for them."
3The LORD has done great things for us;
we are glad.
4Restore our fortunes, O LORD,
like streams in the Negeb!
5 Those who sow in tears
shall reap with shouts of joy!
6He who goes out weeping,
bearing the seed for sowing,
shall come home with shouts of joy,
bringing his sheaves with him.
-psalm 126

i just read in passion and purity about a babysitter helping a little girl get dressed and when she has trouble getting the dress over her head the babysitter says "oh dear let me help you" and the little girl refuses and said "oh no, my dad says i need to struggle to figure it out." amidst these very real, very present tears... just know that if you didn't struggle, you would be a naked adult. God never would have taught you how to dress yourself if we didn't weep and struggle a little bit. (dont think im wise in saying this, typing it out helps me try to believe it too)
